October 2012 News: Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show Preview

Persak & Wurmfeld will present three new, innovative and modern Superyacht designs at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show later this week. The 60 meter and 45 meter expedition yachts will be presented in partnership with Hakvoort Shipyard BV, at show location HOF FD 22A. The 44 meter performance schooner will be presented in partnership with Derecktor Shipyards in Yacht Builders Tent 600. 60M EXPEDITION YACHT

This 60M expedition yacht features a modern, bold sculptural exterior. The yacht’s clean lines ensure a beautiful and timeless aesthetic. The plum stem defines an efficient hull form that will benefit the Owner’s chosen expedition, whether it be a global expedition or an elegant cruise.

The interior arrangement features expansive spaces and generous headroom with accommodation for 12 guests. The generously oversized Owner’s suite features a private aft deck, and the VIP suite on the main deck rivals most Owner’s cabins.

The construction of the vessel will meet the meticulous standards of the Hakvoort family as well as the requirements of Lloyds and MCA. See more information here.

45M EXPEDITION YACHT

Persak & Wurmfeld’s 45M expedition yacht generated considerable interest at the Monaco Yacht Show last month, including many requests to see a 60M version. Hakvoort Shipyards and P&W will feature this design alongside of the new 60M Expedition Yacht in Fort Lauderdale later this week.

The 45M boasts a bold, clean, sculptural exterior with a plum stemmed, sea kindly and efficient hull form suitable for long range cruising and exploration. The interior arrangement offers versatility unlike any vessel in its size range, suitable for 12 guests in six staterooms.

44M PERFORMANCE SCHOONER

Persak & Wurmfeld and Derecktor Shipyards are proud to introduce the 44M performance schooner, truly the next generation modern sailing yacht.

The hull is fast, comfortable, safe, and seaworthy. The schooner rig allows for a flexible sail plan that can be optimized to a wide range of wind speeds while reducing both sheet loads and rig height. The appendages are modern yet easy to drive. The result is a vessel supremely comfortable on a cruise, yet quick and aggressive on the race course.

The arrangement affords comfortable accommodations for ten and includes a separate Owner’s area, four guest staterooms, a full dining area, and a raised salon to enjoy panoramic views.
